An evening full of music.

SO, you guys, I am so EXCITED to write about my Saturday night. My longtime college girlfriend (she’s a singer/song writer, an amazing on at that) had a show in Pasadena. Prior to moving to Florida, I had been to a few of her performances and I was just hoping that I would be in California long enough to make it to this one.

She’s pure magic and so angelic. I can’t even describe what it’s like to hear her sing. When I saw the date of the show pop up I was not only over the moon at the chance to see her perform again, but I knew it would be an evening where all our friends would gather and be together. Which, isn’t always the easiest thing to do when everyone has those things called jobs, appointments, etc.

^^ when you’re completely fan-girling over one of your closest friends.

While you enjoy some of the shots of our evening, you should look her up on YouTube and give a listen to some of her stuff 🙂 I’m working on an interview post with her soon, as I’m always interested in hearing about the process behind her music.

Her name is Nicolette Smith, her EP which was released last year, is called “Space & Seas.”

And despite the fact that we do share one hell of a last name, we aren’t blood relatives. But commonly refer to each other as soul sisters 🙂

If you haven’t got a lot of time, my favorite song off the EP is called “Root Love” so I’d definitely suggest that one ASAP and then listen to the others later 🙂

Happy Sunday!

xoxo,

Amanda

  1. AW you are such an amazing friend. I’m sure she’ll love that you dedicated this post to her if/when she reads it! I always give such kudos to those who can get up on stage and sing their heart out, it takes so much guts! I also am totally jelly of people who can sing because I always say if I could have one talent that it would be to be able to sing nicely lol Ill for sure go give her a listen!!!
